TAJMAHAL (CROWN OF THE PALACE)

This grandiose historical monument marks the remarkable Mughal style architecture. It was counted as well as a winner of the new 7 wonders of the world. This ivory-white marble jewel of the Islamic mausoleum was commissioned by the Mughal Emperor Shah Jahan in 1632 on the south bank of the holy river Yamuna in the Indian city of Agra.This magnificent tomb(under UNESCO heritage site) of Mumtaj (Shaajahan’s wife) is the adorable symbol of eternal love and attracts 7-8 million visitors every year.

GOLDEN TEMPLE

This magnificent Gurudwara is the holiest shrine of the Sikhs and is known as Harmandir Sahib. Guru Arjan Dev built this in 1589 in the Amritsar in Punjab. Adi GranthSahib was placed inside in 1604. In the early nineteenth century, Maharaja Ranjeet Singh covered this shrine with gold and which attracts the million people every month. The four entrances symbolize the openness of the Sikhs towards all people and religions. A free vegetarian meal is served daily without discrimination among the cast creed rich or poor.

QUTUB MINAR

This oldest historical monument was built in 1311 in New Delhi, the capital of India. This red sandstone tower of Qutub Minar is 72.5 m high, 2.75 diameters at peak and 14.32 m diameter at the base. It comprises two mosques, magnificent Alai Darwaja art, built of materials reused from some 20 Brahman temples. Qutub-ud-din Aibak started to build and his son-in-law Iltumish completed. It has a spiral staircase of 379 steps. It is now under the UNESCO heritage site.

JAMA MASJID

This impeccable mosque was built in 1656 by the Mughal emperor Shah Jahan at a cost of one million rupees in New Delhi the capital of India. This is one of the largest mosques that has three gates, two 40 meter high minarets constructed with red strips of red sandstone and white marble. It has a courtyard that can accommodate more than 2500 people. Originally, it was called Masjide Jahan Numa. This monument is blended of Mughal and Hindu architecture.

KHAJURAHO TEMPLE

It is built in 950AD by the ruler of the Chandela Dynasty in Madhya Pradesh. The Khajuraho temples were the cluster of 85 Hindu and Jain temples. At present only 25 are surviving. The world-famous alluring erotic figures are engraved on the wall of the temples. Many captivating figures of women, playing instruments, writing something, playing with the child or the pets attract visitors from all around the world.

BASILICA OF BOM JESUS, GOA
