Wildlife is Mother Nature’s greatest treasure so to protect it, we must take every measure. At present, there are 166  National parks in India. Total 515 Wildlife Sanctuaries out of which 48 are governed by the Project Tiger(established in 1972). All the National parks or wildlife sanctuaries are the Edens or the houses of the giant animals, rare species of the wilds and endangered animals.

BANDHAVGARH NATIONAL PARK

This park is situated in Madhya Pradesh with an area of 716 sq km. It comprises of the highest populations of Tigers in India and according to the legends the place has given by Lord Rama to Lakshmana. The tourists also can enjoy the medieval fort, primitive caves dating back to the 1 st century AD.

BANDIPUR NATIONAL PARK

Bandipur National park is the second-highest Tiger reserve forest in India. It is located in Guhdul pet Taluk Chamarjanagar district in Karnataka in the Southern part of India.

BHARATPUR NATIONAL PARK AND BIRDS SANCTUARY IN RAJASTHAN, INDIA

Over 230 species of birds attracts the tourists in this world heritage site. This sanctuary was created 250 years ago and is named Keoladeo national park.

During the ruler Maharaja Suraj mal (1726-1763) It was made a hunting ground of the Maharajas of Bharatpur. This wet grassland along the rivers thousands of species of trees became the famous avifauna sanctuary in 1981. Bharatpur sanctuary is home to one of the world.s best-known bird watching destinations in Rajasthan.

CHILKA LAKE BIRD SANCTUARY

This sanctuary is located in Orissa and beckoning the birds’ lovers to watch the elegance of Asia’s largest saltwater body, Chilka lake. Its breakfast island, honeymoon island, Birds Island and Rajhans Islands are very popular.

DANDELI WILDLIFE SANCTUARY

The famous Tiger reserves in Karnataka. This region covers a 340 sq kilometers area. The animal lovers can enjoy Tigers, Leopards, Elephants, Reptiles, Birds and Black Panthers. It is the second-largest National park of Karnataka

DUDHWA NATIONAL PARK

Dudhwa National Park was established in 1977 as a sanctuary to the Swamp Deer or Barasingha and the unique One-Horned Rhinoceroses. Due to the efforts of the famous conservationist Billy Arjan Singh the predator Leopard, Tiger was introduced to keep the perfect balance of the Stag’s population. This 490.3  sq kilometers area is made a holiday spot in Uttar Pradesh due to the plethora of animals, various birds, reptiles, etc.

GIR NATIONAL PARK IN GUJRAT, INDIA

This is a forest and wildlife sanctuary near Talala Gir in Gujrat. It was established in 1965  with a total area of 258 sq km as National park and 1153 sq Km. as Wildlife Sanctuary.

 This forest comprises of more than 500 majestic Asiatic Lions, three hundred leopards, striped hyenas, wild boar, Nilgai, desert cats, rusty-spotted cats, porcupines, etc., more than 300 species of birds, including the endangered birds. Jeep safari attracts the tourists to enjoy this hilly forest with pristine elegance. This remains closed from the 16th of June to the 15th of October every year.

JIM CORBETT NATIONAL PARK UTTARAKHAND, INDIA

This is the oldest national park in the Nainital district and the Pauri Garhwal district of Uttarakhand in India. It was built in 1936 and named after a well-known hunter and Naturalist, Jim Corbett. This riverside belt, 520 sq km area beckons the tourists to the kingdom of the Nation’s pride Royal Bengal Tiger, captivating  Leopards, varieties of rare species of the animals, trees, water fall, Dam, temple, etc. The five stars rated luxurious hotels, resorts, jeeps are available. 

KANHA NATIONAL PARK (THE LAND OF JUNGLE BOOK)

This is the largest National Park in Central India and has been ranked among the bests in Asia. This Heaven of 940 sq km area is spreading its elegancy from the central region of Madhya Pradesh. This popular National park attracts a large number of animal lovers from each nook and corner of the world. An animal lover can feel elation by watching 300 species of the animals including the extinct species, Tigers, Hyenas, etc.

KAZIRANGA NATIONAL PARK IN ASSAM, INDIA

This forest is known for the largest population of the Indian one-horned Rhinoceros in the world. The total area of the park is 430 sq km

NANDA DEVI BIOSPHERE RESERVE

This park is situated as the pride of India in the state of Uttrakhand and at an average of elevation of 3500meters above sea level. The immaculate floral species and the snow leopard, Himalayan Black deer, brown deer, are incomparable features of this park.

PERIYAR NATIONAL PARK IN KERALA, INDIA

This National Park is the glimpses of Nature’s bounty with the pristine scenic beauty and rich biodiversity. This astounding location is covered 305 sq.km widespread area in Kerala. One can watch the wildlife through boating on 100 years old lake in a thick green forest. The amazing tall trees of 130 to 140 feet make canopies.

Periyar river, Mullaperiyer dam, tea plantations, cardamom mountains(cardamom plantations), hundreds of species of wild animals and birds, especially large populations of wild Asian Elephants enhancing the fragrance of this forest. Boating, Rafting, trekking, etc. attracts a large number of tourists every year.

Jeep safari attracts the tourists to enjoy this hilly forest with pristine elegance. This remains closed from the 16th of June to the 15th of October every year.

PENCH NATIONAL PARK

A bubbling river Pench has increased the elegancy of the Pench National Park in Madhya Pradesh. It has been honored by setting for Rudyard Kipling’s ‘’The Jungle Book’’. Sloth Bears, Tigers, Leopards, Reptiles Various species Bird are housed here.

RANTHAMBORE NATIONAL PARK IN RAJASTHAN

One of the biggest and most renowned national park Ranthambore National parks is situated in Sawai Madhopur district of Rajasthan. This park is covered 392 sq.km area at the junction of the Vindhya and Aravalli ranges and enjoys proximity to Jaipur. Since 1957 it is home to tigers (can be seen in the day times)Leopards, marsh crocodiles, etc. Padam Talab lake with abundance water lilies, fort, Ganesh temple spread widely the beauty of this park.

SUNDERBANS WILDLIFE SANCTUARY

It boasts of over 70 different species of endemic birds and a miraculous wide variety of flora and fauna species. 

Since 1984 this National park at the Ganges Delta in West Bengal is conserving the wide variety of flora and fauna species, including Tiger, Leopard cats, fishing cats and over 70 different species of endemic birds and a miraculous wide variety of flora and fauna species.

SATPURA TIGER RESERVE

This is famous for compelling waterfalls, alluring valleys, thrilling hilly terrains with the roaring of the Tigers, Elephants. The Birds hops on the lush green 524 sq kilometers area.

SARISKA WILDLIFE SANCTUARY

This Tiger reserve is situated in the Aravali hills in Rajasthan. It covers 273 sq kilometers area for the howling, roaring, haunting, Nation’s pride Tigers.

TADOBA TIGER RESERVE

(THE  LAND OF TIGERS IN MAHARASTRA)This region is famous for rare species of  Flora and Fauna. The animal lovers can watch the national animal, the tigers here in the Tadoba Andhari Tiger reserve park at Mohali, Khosla in Maharastra.

THE KEIBUL LAMJAO NATIONAL PARK IN MANIPUR, INDIA

This is the only floating park in the world, situated in the Bishnupur District of Manipur (North-Eastern India). The floating decomposed plants or the round-shaped floating swamps, called Phumdis on the largest natural freshwater lake(Loktak lake) in North-Eastern India and the endangered deer Eld’s deer or brow-antlered deer, the Sangal deer or dancing deer are the peerless attractions of this national park. 40 km sq area of this park was established in 1971.

WANDAUR NATIONAL PARK/ MAHATMA GANDHI MARINE NATIONAL PARK.

This park is most attractive for the Coral reefs, sea turtles and pristine beaches in Asia. This famous protected Marine area is situated in Andaman Island.
