YOGA SAYS ” I MEAN”

 YOGA, this Sanskrit word has been evolved from the Sanskrit word’ YUJ’ which means literally,’ to join’,’to yoke’ or ‘to unite’ but the inner meaning or the concealed meaning is ‘individual consciousness ties knot with that of the Universal consciousness or perfect harmony between the human and the Nature.

‘YOGA’—ACCORDING TO THE DIFFERENT OPINIONS

What is Yoga? The answers are different. One word but the definitions are a lot, as  Follows:-

  1. UPANISHAD In the ancient age I; e in the 5th century BCE during the ascetic movement Yoga used to be practiced as the holy phenomena to bind the five senses along the mind to be equanimity.
  2. GEETA In the 2nd century, the holy book Geeta defines Yoga is a bridge to connect one’s soul with the secrets, mysteries of the eternal life the entire wonderful Universe and beyond the Universe even to make familiar with one’s existence. One’s soul can find out the way to connect with the Supreme power’s soul I; e God.
  3. VEDANTA Yoga is a holy process through which one can achieve the Emanating essence of life I;e one can acquire the truth of the Universe instead of individuality. 
  4. BUDDHISM According to Buddhism Yoga is a torchbearer towards the path of enlightenment or one can get rid of the sufferings from the real-life or the path of liberty.
  5. JAINISM Yoga is the name of self-discipline. Through Yoga, one can bring the five basic elements of body and soul, Earth, fire, air, water, and spirit in one’s fist to achieve control over one’s soul and mind.
  6. CHRISTIANITY  Yoga is a pious way to be attentive, calm for focusing on Supreme power’s soul or God.
  7. MUSLIM Yoga is a pious phenomenon through which one can live a life of Contentment physically and mentally by taking off the narrow- Mindedness, short sidedness.
  8. PATANJALI This great maharishi said that Yoga is suppression of Modification of mind or self-realization.
  9. VIVEKANANDA –This great personality defined Yoga is to tie the knot with the Soul and the supreme power of God. Yoga is the path which Inherence power of divinity within by controlling external and internal nature.
  10. SADGURU ISHA– According to this modern saint Yoga leads towards the path of experimental reality or to find out the nature of existence.
  11. MEDICAL SCIENCE Modern medical science considers the phenomena Yoga is a mind-body intervention that is used to prevent specific diseases and maladies by keeping the energy meridian open and life energy flowing. And Yoga brings calmness in the nervous system and balance harmony with body mind and spirit.

History says Yoga, India’s most important rainbow in the sky of the vast traditional culture was evolved from 3300 to 1900 BCE. During Indus valley civilization as well in the Vedic period I;e in the 1500 to 500 BCE. The historians depicted a figure in a position resembling an asana used for meditation, Mulabandhasana, according to the archeological findings in the Indus valley civilization. 

AYURVEDA

‘Ayurveda means the knowledge of life .’ This phenomenon is the oldest healing science of India

Ayurvedic knowledge is originated in India more than 5000 years ago or during Vedic culture in the ancient period. The mother of healing or Ayurveda became familiar through oral traditions from accomplished masters to their disciples. Now it has been spread and practiced all over the world. It is said that Ayurvedic treatment begins with accounts of the transmission of medical knowledge from God to the sages. According to Susruta Samhita (written by Susruta) Dhanvantari, Hindu God of Ayurveda incarnated himself as a king of Varanasi and taught Ayurveda to a group of physicians including Susruta.

Ayurveda treats three-element phases like Vata (gas), pitta(bile) and Kapha (cough) balanced phase of dasa is health. When inequality comes among the three dasas results is a disease. According to an early age, Ayurveda describes medicine has eight components. They are :

  1. KAYACHIKITSA (treatment of body)
  2. KAUMARABHRITYA- Treatment of prenatal and postnatal care of baby and mother.
  3. SALYATANTRA- Surgical techniques.
  4. SHALAKYATANTRA—Treatment of ailments affecting the ear, eye nose mouth (ENT)
  5. BHUTAVIDYA- Pacification of possessing spirits.
  6. AGADATANTRA- Subjects about epidemics, toxins, animals, vegetables, and minerals.
  7. RASAYANTANTRA – Tonics for increasing life span intellect and strength.
  8. VAJIKARANATANTRA- Treatment for sexual pleasure.

Modern era says- As WHO(world health organization)  declared an old medicinal strategy should be practiced in the present era, the practicing of Ayurveda is progressing rapidly all around the developed countries.

In 2014 on the 9th of November, India formed the ministry of AYUSH. The national ayurvedic day is also celebrated in India on the birthday of Lord Dhanavantari on the 5th of November. Now there are 246 Ayurveda institutes, recognized by CENTRAL COUNCIL OF MEDICINE(CCM) are offering education under the graduate level and more than 20 institutes are offering master graduation in Ayurvedic medical education. More than 100 Ayurvedic textbooks are recognized. Ayurvedic medicines are challenging to heal the Arthritis, Diabetes, Cancer, Asthma by removing the root of the cause and recover completely.
